Weekend Edition – Land Rovers Offered by a Staten Island NY Dealer

For a couple of weeks, I have been highlighting a few desirable cars that were offered by a Used Car Dealer who calls Staten Island home. The dealer used to go by the name of , but recently changed their name to Saab Classic, for whatever reason… Anyway, they have a very quirky inventory, and I thought I would highlight some of it throughout the weekend to see what you think. Let’s start out with what was once their namesake make, Land Rovers

This is a 1999 Land Rover Discovery Series I, and it has only been driven almost 70,000 miles. Remember, this was the affordable Land Rover during this time period, and it looks fantastic in Green with a Tan interior. According to the listing:

The exterior is in Excellent shape for a 1999. The paint looks original with absolutely no rust anywhere on the car. Leather Seats, Carpet Floor and Glass are all in Great shape. Interior of this car is Nice and Clean. This SUV has 4 matching Tires (60% tread), that are mounted on Good straight rims.

Our Mechanics have performed regular Maintenance on this car, they have also replaced Exhaust, Brakes and Calipers, Manifold and Exhaust gaskets. Our Upholstery shop have replaced the Headliner and resealed the Sunroof. This Discovery comes with Many service records that show that it was taken care off through out its life.

We all know what a pain older Land Rovers can be, but the asking price of $7,000 should take the sting out of owning this one, and with the recent work done to the car, it should be dependable, at least for a while… , and tell me what you think.

Our next Land Rover is this 1998 Land Rover Discovery LSE, finished is a traditional Dark Blue, with a Tan Interior. This truck has been driven a little under 86,000 miles, and it is just about as stunning as the 1999 previously outlined. According to the listing:

This has a few more miles than the Green Discovery, and has undergone the same level of minor restoration. The one big item this truck received is a set of New Tires, so the asking price of $7,000 seems pretty reasonable. , and tell me what you think.

Here we have a 1997 Range Rover 4.0 SE Offroad, and this Range Rover is something entirely different. The mileage is approaching 99.000, but it all seems to be in good nik, and you will never find another one like it in the US (Well, at least on the East Coast!). The Red exterior looks great, while the Brown interior looks even better. According to the listing:

This Two owner Offroad ready truck came to us from Virginia, It was Lifted by its previous Owner, Brand New MT tires and Snorkel were installed. But based on our inspection, I can say with a high level of confidence that this truck has not seen any Offroading. It is very clean underneath, It does not have any damage associated with driving offroad and the paint does not have any flaws from coming into with rocks or tree branches.

It has Service records, Automatic Transmission, 3 inch Terrafirma lift, Bilstein Shocks, ABS, Power Brakes, Air Bags, Snorkel kit, Driving lights on the Front brush Guard, Tail Light Guards, Tow Hitch, Leather / Power / Heated / Memory seats, Fog lights, Expedition rack in Cargo area with Gas can, Power windows, Power door locks, Tape / AM / FM, Steering Wheel controls, Cruise Control and Dual Zone Air Conditioning.

This thing is really a bit over the top as far as Range Rovers go, and it really isn’t my taste, but the asking price of $6,300, it might be yours. , and tell me if this is a Proper Range Rover.

This is a 2007 Range Rover HSE that has covered a little over 86,000 miles. The car is finished in the traditional colors of Green with a Tan Leather Interior. It looks great, and according to the listing:

This Fully loaded, Luxury SUV has Automatic Transmission, Power Brakes, Leather / Power / Memory / Heated seats, Fog lights, Power windows, Power door locks, CD Changer / AM / FM, Back Up camera, Navigation, Power Sunroof, Heated Steering wheel and Dual Zone Air Conditioning.

This is the newest of the four cars showcased, and that being said, it is the most expensive, at $19,000. That being said, this looks like a fairly recent Range Rover, good enough to fool the neighbors into thinking you bought a newer one, so only you have to know. , and tell me what you think…
