This is a 1990 Volkswagen Fox wagon. It’s currently for sale in Huntington Beach, and it appears to be in great shape. The owner is asking just $1,500 bucks for what’s ostensibly a rare car here in North America. Why so cheap? It’s been parked in a warehouse since 2009.
This Fox has a lot going for it, despite its current non-running status. The seller states that they are the original owner. There’s no rust and the body is straight. Additionally, the interior looks well kept for a car of this age. There are only 128,000 miles on the odometer.
So for $1,500 bucks, the cost of some fresh gas and a new battery, you might be in proper shape to get this machine up and running again. Hell, I’m tempted to hop over to Huntington Beach and give it a look myself.
There are a few custom features but nothing too crazy or that couldn’t be reverted back to stock if you so desire. Here’s the full text of the ad, in case it disappears, which it’s going to at this price:

Someone needs to hop on this one. Make it snappy, and you have a Radwood-era survivor that looks to be in great shape, outside of the whole currently not running bit.
