Enjoy the simple things with this 1970 Jeepster Commando and 1980 Honda T110 trail bike

The 1970 Jeepster Commando can haul you around town and to the trailhead. Then the 1980 Honda CT110 mounted on the bike will take you the rest of the way. This is an intriguing combo, and .

You will be a flash to the past when you roll up with this delightful pair. Neither one is fast, but the journey to the destination is one that shouldn’t be rushed anyway. Forget the interstate. Hug the coast. Roll down the window or even leave the top at home. Wind in your hair, you find one clear station coming through the radio and it’s playing classic rock. It’s not too hot out so you’re comfortable but the sun is shining down on you. On this day, you win.

I have no clue what this pair will sell for, but I can’t imagine it being too massive of a price. And hopefully it winds up at a home where the owner gets to live out the vision I’ve posted above on a weekly basis.

  • I’m more interested in the 1978 Interstyl Hustler 6 Space Shuttle currently being offered on BaT, but I fear the bids will go far too high:

    • GTXcellent

Now why is it, that when this ‘vehicle’ was first listed on BAT, the very first thing I thought of was “Hmmmm, I wonder if Doc Harrell knows about this?”

      • I even know the seller, as he used to run a vintage SAAB business called West of Sweden, but the fact he has one of these still came as a surprise when I saw the listing.

    • Sjalabais

It’s really cool, but I don’t understand why it needs six wheels?

On the combo above…it’s attractive, but carrying a motorbike with a car is not what I would call “simplicity”.

      • Don’t think of it as needing six wheels. Think of it as settling for only six wheels.

You know what else has six wheels? A T-Rex.

    • outback_ute

I’d like to see that with a Moke type body instead.

      • William Towns has you covered there as well.

        • outback_ute

I was thinking more like this

  • GTXcellent

I don’t know, given they sold a ’72 Gran Torino wagon for almost 50k yesterday, you never know what kind of money they’re going to get

    • Sjalabais

Wasn’t just any wagon though, but I agree in your point. BaT has managed to get bonkers prices for a lot of cars, with the odd gem that flies under the radar for a good price.

    • Zentropy

Yeah, that was insane. I still like perusing BaT, but it’s gotten a bit ridiculous lately.

  • outback_ute

I think they could have made the mount for the motorbike carrier a bit longer, help the Jeep pull a wheelie!

  • Except where the Jeepster is limited by width, I can’t see the CT110 getting you much farther. I dig mopeds as much as the next guy, but for trails, there are better choices. Even the gutless wonder that was my old MT125 Elsinore would be more capable.

    • Zentropy

Agreed. It’d be better off with a small trials bike.

    • Jeff Glucker

I’m thinking more for the weekend warrior here, exploring light trails.
