Pardon our Dust

Tim Odell August 24, 2012 All Things Hoon 10 Comments

We’re cutting over to a new host this weekend, so things will likely be wonky for the next 24-48 hours.

“Wonky” includes disappearing comments, disappearing posts, complete non-functionality and maybe even Whitworth fasteners.

In the mean time, why not go for a drive?

I'm glad you said something. I've been experiencing some weird glitches. For example, every time I type into my address bar, I get redirected to random sites, like autoweek.com/thebasement/hooniverse and tirebusiness.com/filler/thehooniverse.

I'm kidding of course. Apologies for the bad Autoweek paranoia joke. Exciting times for Redusernab. You seem to be growing (I've been noticing more new commenters lately, if that's a sign) and I trust you guys to do it right.

    Not Whitworth spanners! Noooooooooooo………..

"Pardon our dust" implies construction using lumber and drywall. Redusernab needs a metaphor more akin to hotrodding. Pardon our greasy fingernails, perhaps?

No mention of Jim Parkinson's round the world trip in a 98cc version?

Yeah, why not just go for a drive?

Love it. M-B engineers were probably thinking hard about dashboard conf…..and then decided that big old analog clock exactly the size of tacho needs to be on the other side of speedometer in front of the driver.
Not oil temp or pressure or coolant data or something. Time. And not exact lap time like Porsche's Chrono provides.
(I know there is digital display too, but still)

PS. Clarkson bought this car for his own money and was little unhappy with suspension. Asked Lotus mechanics to do something to it and they made it more comfier for him.

PPS. Some of the weekend posts are missing currently.
