V.I.S.I.T.: Brian Ross’ 1949 Ferrari 166 MM Touring Barchetta

Okay, so I didn’t see it in traffic, rather a friend on Facebook did who was also kind enough to post photos, making this one of the few things that made a visit to Facebook worth while. No teenage drama, no swearing out evil college professors or totally shocking breakups; just a couple photos of this fine specimen out in the wild, if you can believe it.

A friend took and posted photos of this 1949 Ferrari 166 MM Touring Barchetta at a golf course and later revealed that it belongs to Brian Ross, who owns Ferrari of Vancouver and is a well-known real estate developer in Chicago. It turns out that he also has an amazing Ferrari collection that includes this ridiculously rare 166 that actually gets driven. A rare Ferrari that gets driven? Imagine that… enjoy!

Hat tip to Anthony for giving us all something to drool over!

  • This car is obviously a POS, otherwise he would park at an angle taking up multiple spots.

Big thumbs up to Brian Ross for driving this beautiful car rather than parking it in a heated garage where nobody would ever see it.

  • should I know or care who Brian Ross is?

If there's one thing you should know about him, it's that he has lots of rare Ferraris and actually drives them. That's the only part I tend to remember 🙂

Id like to meet the guy just to shake his hand.

If real life was like software, then everyone would get one of these as a drivers ed car.
