Redusernab Asks: Would Jim Approve?

Today is our very own Jim Brennan’s birthday! While he’s going through a bit of a rough patch in his non-Redusernab world right now, and has been forced to take a bit of time away from our hallowed halls, he’s surely missed, and we’re fairly certain he’s still checking in from time to time. So let’s brighten his day a bit! Speaking for those of us behind the scenes, I know our thoughts are with him, and we wish him a very happy birthday!

Join in, and share your wishes below; let’s make this, his 273rd birthday, one to remember. Assuming he can remember anything at his age.

  • Syrax

    Happy Birthday Jim! 273rd? You don't look a day over 185!

    • OA5599

      So he looks better than Joe Walsh's Maserati?

  • acarr260

    If Jim disapproves of that van, the next posting should be an announcement of his parting of ways with the Redusernab.

    Happy birthday, Jim!

  • Happy Birthday Jim! I got you this:

    Happy Birthday Jim!
    I'm sure $kaycog will have a much better present than I could give delivered to you.

  • $kaycog

    Happy Birthday, Mr. Brennan!

    • RichardKopf

      Jesus Christ, that one girl looks like Noel from the Mighty Boosh!

      <img src="; >

      Oh, yes, er, Happy Hoonbirthday Jim!

      • joshuman

        She does!

    • Why are you sitting in that Corvair?

      • mr. mzs zsm msz esq

        She'd hit her head if she was standing.

    • dukeisduke

      Four hot chicks in a '64, and a Clark's catalog, too. "Hello, this is Cal Clark…"

    • Deartháir

      Where do you FIND these photos!? Also… I believe #2 and #4 are twins. Or… quadruplets. Whichever. That opens whole new can of awesome.

      • Charles_Barrett

        Or maybe they're genetically engineered clones, half cluster lizard and half love slave. They've chosen this Corvair and forsaken Lexx

        • Deartháir

          That's just fine by me. They've got boobs. I'm not really thinking too far beyond that part of it.

      • $kaycog

        I'm just a lucky searcher, I guess. I thought the girls resembled each other too. The picture I really wanted to post was of a Corvair with a girl's legs sticking out the window, but it's a php. …

      • SSurfer321

        I've been to the one in Chicago and while the food was decent, the atmosphere was better. And my waitress is now in the running to be on the 2012 calendar.
        I hope to review their location in Louisville in the near future.

        • Deartháir

          That may be my new favourite restaurant in the world. And I've never been there.

  • mr. mzs zsm msz esq

    Happy birthday young man!

  • Your present is on the way… <img src=&quot <a href=";” target=”_blank”>;;

    • Syrax

      <img src=";

      • Thank you for fixing whatever just broke… IN other news… I found a website called "the Girls of Ebay." Topic for Drunkcast?

        • Syrax

          Are they for sale?

          • Deartháir

            Bidding starts at a dollar!

            • Disinfection starts a little higher.

  • I've met Jim in real life, and can honestly say that he is one truly nice guy. So, Jim, I wish you the happiest of happy birthdays. And many more!

    • FuzzyPlushroom

      This, exactly this!

  • Feds_II

    Happy Birthday Jim! Here's a picture of my favorite truck (of the 3 I've owned)

    <img src="; width=500>

    Sorry about the bike in the way.

    • Alff

      Excellent choice. Looks a lot like my first "car" – a 1978 Ford Courier. Also, I'm digging your paver driveway. If mine wasn't so big and prone to icing, that's how I'd redo it.

    • Feds_II

      A potential <pow!> for Alf. That is an '84 B2000, which is a courier, but with a Mazda motor instead of the Ford 2.3. Great, tough little truck, but not capable of handling the impending (and long since arrived) 2nd child.

      The driveway was there when we bought the place. I love it in the spring before the weeds grow in, and I love it in the fall after they die. In the winter it gets icy, and in the summer it gets weedy. It was also never edged properly, so I have to do some digging and hammering this summer to get the edges back in line (literally).

  • dukeisduke

    I hope the Stinger's not going into LeMons. That would be a crying shame.

  • Happiest of birthdays, Jim! Your posts here rock. Here's to many more.

  • Jim and the other regular posters,

    I don't know what's going on in your real lives but I think I speak for all the readers when I say we hope you get through it quickly and in one piece. We appreciate your labor of love that is the Redusernab.

    Also, leaving the keys to Redusernab with longroofian on weekends is madness. MADNESS!

    • Deartháir

      It's a good kind of madness.

  • Alff

    UD Man. HB2U.

  • aastrovan

    Happy Birthday Jim,remember273 yrs. is halfway to 546 so stay the course.

  • njhoon

    Happy Birthday Jim. Godspeed in your real life, hope everything turns out OK. You're missed here.

  • Lotte

    Happy birthday, Jim!

    I do know that UD is Nissan Diesel, so I present:
    <img src="; width=350>

    It symbolizes that seemingly unavoidable problems (jumping, loud elementary schoolchildren) can be overcome. Okay, that's a load of jibberish; I wish you well too!

  • dragon951

    Happy Birthday Jim!

  • coupeZ600

    Man, and I came here today specifically to track you down and grill you about what you knew about Grumman Stepvans. Oh well, it can wait, and I wish you the Best of Luck and even the Betterest of Birthdays!

  • Happy Birthday Mr. Brennan! What would you prefer: A UD-powered Corvair, or a Corvair-engined UD? The Atomic Toasters crew would probably build* your choice, provided they could lay off the scotch long enough.

    *by "build" I of course mean "assemble an arrangement of edited pixels"

  • UDman

    Man this is one big surprise. From the bottom of my heart I want to thank each and every one of you for making this place so special…. Thank You.

    You made me the happiest 273 year old bastid on the planet….

  • A slightly belated happy anniversary-of-ejection-day, from an unusually sunny United Kingdom.

    Good work fella!
