What Does a 4×4 Truck Have in Common with a Type XXI U-Boat?

Why, if the truck is equipped with a snorkel, they can operate for long periods underwater! Make the jump to watch a hoon of the highest grade tackle a river in what looks to be a sur military truck, complete with full snorkel equipment. Bonus points for IDing the truck.

Note that when he approaches the far bank the first time, he apparently says “I needed to breathe,” which seems to be an indication that there’s no scuba tanks or snorkels for the driver. When your truck can breathe, but you can’t, you gotta be doing something right.

Thanks to John for the tip!

  • Looks a lot like a Hummer H1, but not quite. Probably just a home made body on a Jeep or full size pick up frame or maybe even custom chassis too.

  • Wasabi

It’s that hummer looking like Rusian/tractor thing that has been circling the web in the past couple of months

  • So, he proved he could parallel park under water? I guess that's cool. If you are into that kind of thing.

  • Yep, homebuilt Hummer FTW!

  • The Navy is field testing their new all-terrain sub concept. Sure, they've got some great new hardware for littoral zone combat but sometimes you need to go to periscope depth during on-shore ops. Believe me, the Army is really pissed about this.

  • now thats a damn truck!

  • That's definitely the uber awesome homemade Humvee from Russia.

  • caltrop

the driver says: "pod vodoy ne vidno" which means "can't see under water"

  • Soon there will be the most interesting . The program is intended to show sports cars, the engine rides and flight demonstration aircraft. There will also be an interesting performance by dancers from Russia, will be dancing, of course. Calling all real men on this event. Enter the and find out more.

    Best regards
